Yeah, it's fifteen years old, and it was the kind of song you

I think you are referring - with that third item - to what I would
describe as half of a bloody good song. By this I mean a song which
could have been one of my all-time favourites if only the composer
had worked on it some more. It's a song that really *needed* to have
at least twice as many verses, it's a good song that sadly missed out
on being a great song, a song that begins to sketch a masterpiece but
stops short of colouring it in.

A few weeks ago, I posted that I had been earwormed by a song in the
store that day, one that I hadn't heard in years and which seemed to
take me back in time. I posted that in order to deworm myself that
evening, I developed and recorded an arrangement for a song that I
wrote circa 1994. I asked if anyone wanted to hear this recording.
Sofia and Stacie responded, so I sent them both copies by email.

Your third item is the very song that I heard in the store that day.

You want revenge? I'll give you revenge.

I am not your enemy.
I'm a dreamer and always have been. [1]

Neither of the above two songs are actually in English, in
fact they're not even both in the same language. What I have
written are (apparently) the _translated_ lyrics.

No-one will legitimately get the second one. I include it
purely in order to make a point about the nature of revenge
and how easy it is. Mwahahahaha!

Adrian.

[1] or "always will be". I'm not 100% sure which.

Given that some of the lyrics belong to at least three
different songs, I thought that went without saying 8-)...

(While Kershaw wrote the song, I wasn't aware he'd performed
it. [Actually I wasn't aware he wrote it until five minutes
ago...])

Let's see, there's three British, two Australian and one American
artists/bands there.

Two of them are definitely non-mainstream.

One of these songs was banned until a line of the lyrics was altered
(not one of the above, though).

Aw, come on. The lyrics were interesting as long as Fish wrote them,
